Property searches are paid for at outset, and can cost up to £300, which would be lost, should the purchase fall through. As our recommended solicitors are able to order searches that come with a unique “second set free” pledge should the purchase fall through and you decide to buy another property.

In order to begin the conveyancing process, the solicitor will request you make a payment on account of £300 to cover initial disbursements (property searches)

 

The Panel Manager, Conveyancing Alliance Limited, promotes conveyancing services on behalf of a limited panel of conveyancers. Conveyancing Alliance Limited and solicitor firms on its panel comply with the Solicitors Regulation Authority Code of Conduct. The conveyancer will make a payment to Conveyancing Alliance Limited for marketing services, administration duties, ongoing support, quality control and use of Conveyancing Alliance Limited’s information technology platform for the distribution of data. The amount of this payment will be two hundred pounds excluding vat. The payment is made by the conveyancer out of the conveyancing fees they charge. Any conveyancer on the panel is an independent professional from whom the client will receive impartial and confidential advice. The advice and service of the conveyancer will remain independent and subject to the clients’ instructions. Clients are free to choose another conveyancer.
